President Donald Trump has claimed that the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has provided $29 million in aid to strengthen the political situation in Bangladesh. He said that the money went to an organization in Bangladesh that no one has heard of.
According to a report by the Indian media outlet Times of India, Trump made this statement while addressing a working session of governors of US states on Friday (February 21) local time.
Expressing his anger, the US President said, "$29 million has been given to an organization whose name no one has heard of to strengthen the political infrastructure of Bangladesh."
$29 million! They got the check. Can you imagine? You have a small company, you make $10,000 here and there, and then suddenly you get $29 million from the US government! There are only two people working in that company. Two! I think they are very happy, very rich. Soon they will be on the cover of a famous business magazine, because they are so 'successful'!
Trump also mentioned providing financial assistance to friendly country India.
