Elon Musk visited US President Donald Trump's office at the White House with his four-year-old son. Live video showed Musk's son picking his nose with his finger. That finger was pointing at the iconic Resolute Desk in the Oval Office. After such an incident, President Trump ordered the desk to be removed from the Oval Office for renovation.
This Musk descendant, known to everyone as 'X', appeared in the Oval Office with his father Musk and Trump during a joint question-and-answer session about the work of the Government Skills Department.
In the video footage, Musk's son appears to be quite restless. He talks a lot, sometimes pacing back and forth. At one point, he picks his nose and taps his finger on the desk, while also touching other places.
The New York Post reported that John F. Kennedy first used the desk in 1961. Later presidents including Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, Barack Obama and Joe Biden used it during their terms in office.
Trump is reportedly a "germophobe." Following the Elon Musk incident, Trump said in a Truth Social post on Thursday that he had temporarily replaced the Resolute desk with another desk.
Referring to the new desk, Trump wrote, "This desk is very well known and was used by President George H.W. Bush and others. It has been temporarily added to the White House while the Resolute Desk is being lightly renovated – a very important job. It is a beautiful, but temporary replacement!"
