Free corrugated iron sheets and checks have been distributed among the families affected by the fire in Saltha, Faridpur under the humanitarian assistance program allocated by the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief. Today, Tuesday (February 11) at 1 pm, the Upazila Administration (Disaster Management Branch) Saltha organized this corrugated iron sheet and checks among the 5 families affected by the fire in the conference room of the Upazila Parishad. At this time, each of them was given three boxes of corrugated iron sheets and a check of 9 thousand taka each.
Faridpur Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mohammad Kamrul Hasan Mollah was present as the chief guest at the event, presided over by Upazila Executive Officer Md. Anisur Rahman Bali.
Among others present were Faridpur Assistant Commissioner (ICT Branch) Md. Tanmoy Islam, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Masum Billah, Upazila Project Implementation Officer Humayun Kabir and others.
It is worth mentioning that the fire broke out at the Mollah house in Purura Mridhapara area of Bhawal union of the upazila around 3 pm on Saturday (February 8). A total of 11 houses were burnt in the fire, including Alem Mollah's son Ibrahim Mollah (1), Mustafa Mollah's son Ahmed Mollah (3), deceased Said Mollah's son Aminur Mollah (2), and Chan Mollah's son Mohiddin Mollah (1).
