The annual sports and cultural program titled "Let the youth develop through sports" was held at Raniganj High School in Durgapur Union, Kapasia Upazila, on Thursday (February 6) at the school playground.
Kapasia BNP Secretary General, former Chairman of Upazila Parishad and President of School Managing Committee Alhaj Khandaker Azizur Rahman Pera presided over the program as the chief guest, and Gazipur District BNP Senior Joint Convener Shah Riazul Hannan Riaz was present as the chief guest. Special guests were present, former headmaster of this school Bashir Uddin, former assistant headmaster Habibur Rahman, former assistant teacher Fazlur Rahman, Upazila BNP Joint General Secretary Afzal Hossain, Kapasia Press Club President Md. Kamal Fakir, Upazila BNP Joint General Secretary Mir Masud Karim, Press Club General Secretary Shamsul Huda Liton, Kapasia Union BNP President Selim Hossain Arju, Durgapur Union BNP President Solaiman Mollah, Union BNP General Secretary Masum Sarkar, etc. The overall management of the program was carried out by the school's headmaster Md. Ali Mansur, and the assistant teachers Saiful Islam Sarkar and SM Lokman Hossain were present. During this time, the students of the school participated in various competitions including speech, running competition, long jump, biscuit race, rope jumping, pot breaking, discus throwing, recitation, dance and amazing events dressed up as they pleased. At the end of the program, prizes were distributed among the winners.
