Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam during his visit to Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh, India. He was accompanied by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Indian media outlet NDTV News reported on Wednesday (February 5).
Earlier, Prime Minister Modi was seen travelling by boat from Arial Ghat to Mahakumbh along with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
The Mahakumbh Mela began on the full moon day of Paush on January 13 and the place was filled with lakhs of devotees. The grand event will continue till Mahashivaratri on February 26.
However, there was a stampede at the Mahakumbh Mela (Great Pitcher Festival) on January 29. Several people were killed in the stampede, according to various media outlets in the country.
