A discussion meeting and Iftar Mahfil on the virtues and deeds of the month of Ramadan was held in Saltha, Faridpur, organized by Jamaat-e-Islami. The discussion meeting and Iftar Mahfil were held on Sunday (March 2) evening at the Model Mosque of the Upazila Sadar, organized by the Jamaat-e-Islami Saltha Upazila branch.
Faridpur District Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Maulana Md. Badruddin was present as the chief guest at the discussion meeting presided over by Upazila Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Professor Abul Fazal Murad.
Also present at the event were educationist Professor A. Qader Mia, Faridpur District Office Secretary Professor Mizanur Rahman, Jamaat-e-Islami's (Daripalla) nominated candidate for Faridpur-2 constituency Maulana Sohrab Hossain, Nayebe Amir Md. Azizur Rahman, Secretary Md. Tariqul Islam, Faridpur Municipal Jamaat's Joint Secretary Jahangir Hossain, Upazila Workers Welfare Federation President Chowdhury Mahbub Ali Nasru, Upazila Ulama Federation President Maulana Mikail Hossain and others.
In the discussion meeting, speakers discussed the virtues of the holy month of Ramadan and requested everyone to preserve the sanctity of Ramadan. At the Iftar gathering, prayers were offered for peace in the country and the nation.
