Facing criticism from students and the general public in the area, six-time elected UP Chairman of Raruli Union No. 8 of Paikgachha Upazila, Alhaj Md. Abul Kalam Azad has submitted his resignation.
On Sunday morning, the Deputy Commissioner submitted the application to the Executive Officer of Khulna, Paikgachha Upazila, the Officer-in-Charge, and the Raruli Camp In-Charge.
On Saturday morning, in Banka Bazar, the heroic freedom fighter Alhaj Principal Abul Kalam Azad submitted his resignation after students from all walks of life and the general public formed a human chain demanding his resignation, alleging various allegations against him.
In this regard, Upazila Executive Officer Mahera Nazneen said that she has received the resignation letter of Raruli Union Parishad Chairman Abul Kalam Azad. The application will be sent to the Deputy Commissioner for necessary action.
