An attack was made on the owner of a fruit orchard in Asampara, Jaintapur upazila of Sylhet for preventing smugglers from carrying their goods through it. The incident took place at around 8:30 pm on Monday (February 10) at the plaintiff's leased betel nut, fruit and forest tree orchard in Adarshgram Kharom Pur, Asampara Mouza under Jaintapur Union No. 2 under Jaintapur Police Station. The defendants had been transporting illegal Indian goods through the leased orchard for a long time, causing damage to the orchard. Despite the defendants' attempts to prevent the movement of the goods, the plaintiff and his partners were forcibly transporting the illegal Indian goods through the orchard by threatening the plaintiff with various sums of money.

Later, when the people of the area came forward to hear the screams of the injured, the accused fled. The locals rescued the injured and admitted them to the Jaintapur Upazila Health Complex. Among the injured, Enam Ahmed was sent to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital as his physical condition was critical.
