The Anti-Discrimination Student Movement and Conscious Civic Society** held a human chain program in Sreemangal, Moulvibazar, demanding the release of illegal encroachments and reforms to the Shishu Udyan and Public Library.
Senior journalists Md. Kawsar Iqbal, Ismail Mahmud, Ahmed Farul Millad, poet Javed Bhuiyan, reciter Bikash Das Bappon, political leader Tuhin Chowdhury, teacher Fuad Islam and many others spoke at the human chain organized in front of Shishu Udyan on College Road on Sunday (February 23) afternoon. In addition, leaders of anti-discrimination student organizations and cultural activists also participated in the program.
The speakers demanded that the children's park be vacated within 48 hours. Otherwise, they announced that they would vacate the park themselves with the help of people from all walks of life. After the human chain, a memorandum was submitted to the Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO).
People from various walks of life, including students from various educational institutions, teachers, cultural workers, and journalists, were present at the event.
