Upazila Jamaat-e-Islami leaders held a meeting to exchange views with journalists working in various print, electronic media, and online portals in Bakerganj Upazila.
This discussion meeting was held at the Bakerganj Municipality Auditorium on Friday, 28/2/2025 at 4:00 PM.
Maulana Mahmudunnani Talukder, Secretary, Jamaat-e-Islami Barisal District and candidate from Barisal 6 (Bakerganj) constituency in the upcoming national elections, was the chief guest at the event.
Maulana Mahmudannabi Talukder greeted the journalists present and said in his speech, journalists are the conscience of the nation. Journalists are the mirror of society. Journalists played an important role in the July-August mass uprising. Their role in changing the background of this country is undeniable. Honest leadership is needed to run the country. In that case, journalists can fulfill an important responsibility with their writings.
Upazila Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Professor Firoz Alam presided over the meeting. Upazila Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary Maulana Abul Hossain, Bakerganj Reporters Unity President Danisur Rahman Limon, General Secretary Uttam Kumar Das, Press Club President Ataur Rahman Roman, General Secretary Imran Khan Salam, Barisal Pratidin's Zakir Jamadder, Mofussil Journalist Forum President Ziaul Haque Akon, and journalist Golam Mostafa spoke at the meeting.
