Asia is the largest continent in the world. It has an estimated population of 4.56 billion. According to the World Population Prospects, Asia's population has increased almost fourfold.
This continent consists of fifty-nine independent sovereign states, including the last independent state, East Timor. An important region of this continent is South Asia. This region has countries like Bangladesh, India, China, Pakistan and Myanmar. This time, South Asia is going to get another new country. At the same time, Bangladesh is going to get a new neighboring state. Now the question is where will the new country be in this region? So what will be the location of this region?
Since Asia and Europe are located on the same landmass, it is called Eurasia. Although Asia does not share a border with Europe, the Asian continent is culturally diverse. The second largest country on this continent, India, has more cultural diversity than any other continent. In addition, the diversity of languages, religions, and races within Asian countries sets the Asian continent apart from the rest of the world.
And on this continent, Bangladesh has developed along the shores of the world's largest gulf. This evergreen country is spread over an area of 1,47,570 square kilometers. India has a 4,156-kilometer-long international border with this country in the lowlands.
On the other hand, Bangladesh borders Myanmar. On the other hand, one of Bangladesh's closest neighbors is Myanmar, formerly known as Burma. The country is the largest country in Southeast Asia in terms of area and has a population of about 54 million.
For the past few years, the country's internal ethnic riots and civil war have destabilized the border areas of Bangladesh. Now, a new issue has been added to the border: the Arakan Army.
Arakan was an independent kingdom until 1785, when it fell to the Burmese Mandalay Kingdom. However, in the following years, the local population rebelled against the Burmese rulers numerous times. When Myanmar gained independence from Britain in 1948,
Recently, they have been occupying the Rakhine region by defeating the Myanmar government forces. They are showing the thumbs up to the Myanmar army by capturing Maungdaw. The state's armed rebel force, the Arakan Army, has captured more than 80 percent of the territory in Rakhine by defeating the government forces.
The Arakan Army, the country's dominant ethnic armed group, has captured another township or town in Myanmar's western Rakhine state. It is 185 kilometers northwest of Yangon, one of the country's main cities, and is known as a gateway to the Irrawaddy River delta.
Goa is the 14th town in Rakhine State that the Arakan Army has captured. There are a total of 17 such townships or towns in the state. Only three more towns remain to be captured. As a result, this is not their biggest step towards capturing the entire Rakhine State. And with this, the state has taken another step towards becoming a new independent state.
In other words, it is believed that a new state is going to be established next to Bangladesh. In less than a decade and a half of its establishment, the new country is going to defeat the country's government forces and create the Rakhine Army.
International analysts say the Rakhine Army could declare independence at any time. A new state could be declared across the Cox's Bazar border at any moment.
Domestic and international media are saying that a new country in South Asia is going to emerge very soon. This is happening around Rakhine State. A new state could be announced at any moment across the border between neighboring Myanmar's Rakhine State and the Arakan Army's Cox's Bazar.
It is known that countries like India, China, and America have started to maintain contact with the Arakan Army, keeping in mind the possibility of declaring Rakhine an independent state. As a result, the international community's attention surrounding Myanmar's Rakhine state is now on South Asia. The United League of Arakan was established on April 9, 2009, a decade and a half ago. The military wing of the ULA, the Arakan Army, began its activities demanding the right to self-determination.
