On the occasion of Diabetes Awareness Day in Comilla, free diabetes screening and a discussion meeting were held at the diabetes hospital premises. On Saturday (March 1) morning, the Comilla diabetes screening workshop was inaugurated by the Organizing Secretary of the Comilla Division of the Central BNP and General Secretary of the Comilla Diabetes Association Md. Mostaq Mia. Present at the event were Senior Consultant of Diabetes Disease Dr. Ajit Kumar Pal, Senior Consultant Gynae Dr. Dilruba Akhter, Treasurer of the Diabetes Association Nur Alam Bhuiyan, Executive Officer of the Hospital AZM Afzal, Senior Consultant Dr. Shah Alam, Senior SMO Dr. Toufiq Un Nabi Khan Liton, Dr. Lubna Yasmin, Dr. Moslem Mia, Dr. Ferdousi, Indoor Incharge Ahmed Zorfan Belal and Md. Akhter Hossain, etc.
At the discussion meeting, BNP's Comilla division organizing secretary and Comilla Diabetes Association general secretary Md. Mostaq Mia said, "If you live a disciplined life, there is nothing to be afraid of diabetes. Diabetes patients in our country now live more consciously than before."
