NGO ASHA distributed free physiotherapy related materials among the helpless people in Noakhali Sadar. ASHA's senior officer Senior District Manager Md. Tajul Islam was present as the chief guest. In his speech, he said, ASHA is an NGO that extends its helping hand to people in all humanitarian disasters and calamities, physiotherapy service is one such initiative. Our medical service is open to all. All the sick can take this service.
Prayers and humanitarian medical services were organized to mark the fourth death anniversary of Md. Shafiqul Haque Chowdhury, the founding president of ASHA, the largest NGO in Asia.
The program was held on Wednesday (February 12) morning in the courtyard of N Little Star Kindergarten School in Maijdi Stadium Para, Noakhali Sadar.
In the program, medical equipment and physiotherapy related materials such as waist belts, neck belts, hand belts, elbow belts, walking sticks, pulleys, squeezing balls were distributed among 100 sick and helpless people, while experienced physiotherapists Farhana Rahman and SM Imadul Islam provided advice and services on physiotherapy.
At that time, ASHA's senior officer Senior District Manager Md. Shahjahan Bhuiyan, Noakhali Sadar Region RM - Prabhat Kumar Biswas, Noakhali Sadar Senior Branch Manager Mostafa Kamal, Senior Branch Manager (Noakhali Sadar 2) Zakaria Ferdous, Begumganj SME Branch Manager Shahidul Islam, Banglabazar Senior Branch Manager Pabitra Kumar Das, along with school teachers and guardians of students and local service recipients were present at the program.
