A special Rituraj Basanta Baran festival was held under the joint initiative of Srimangal Upazila Parishad and Municipality. Upazila Executive Officer Md. Islam Uddin inaugurated the festival at the Srimangal Zilla Parishad Auditorium ground on Thursday (February 13) afternoon.
Present were; Upazila Parishad Chief Engineer Yusuf Hossain Khan, Municipality Executive Engineer Zahirul Islam and media personnel from Srimangal.
As part of this festival, stalls of various types of pitha have been set up at the fair, attracting locals as well as visitors. Cultural programs will begin in the afternoon, where various organizations will celebrate the joy of spring through their art.
"Such social and cultural initiatives are very commendable. It is a means of expressing a deep love for our tradition and culture," said Srishti, a young woman who visited the fair.
The festival grounds have been specially decorated, making every corner look like a picture. Organized by the Srimangal Municipality and Upazila Administration, people of all ages are participating in this festival, and it has added a new colorful chapter to the vibrant atmosphere of the city.
In addition, the Bangladesh Smart Women's Association participated in the fair with a pitha stall, where entrepreneur Mitali Das invited everyone to laugh, eat, and dress up. This is a special initiative of Srimangal, which helps everyone to come together and enjoy the joy of the festival.
