Gold price hits record, totals 1.45 lakh taka
The Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) announced the increase in gold prices in a press release on Saturday night.
It says that the price of pure gold has increased in the local market. Therefore, it has been decided to adjust the price of gold.
The price of 22 carat gold per baht was 1 lakh 42 thousand 790 taka.
Gold prices in Bangladesh have been rising steadily for more than a year due to the impact of rising prices in the international market and instability in domestic supply.
In July 2023, the price of gold in Bangladesh exceeded 1 lakh taka for the first time.
