Bhurungamari (Kurigram) Representative:
As part of the central program, the Upazila Chhatra Dal has organized a "March for Justice" program in Bhurungamari, Kurigram, like the rest of the country. This program was held at 11 am on Thursday, February 6, at various educational institutions in the upazila, including Bhurungamari Government College.
Aims and objectives of the program:
This program was organized by the initiative of Bangladesh Nationalist Chhatra Dal Bhurungamari Upazila branch. They demanded:
To ensure proper trial and exemplary punishment of the culprits for all terrorist activities committed by the Chhatra League in educational institutions during the regime of the fallen dictator Sheikh Hasina.
Appropriate action should be taken, subject to investigation, against those who played a role as allies of fascism in the mass uprising of the students and the public in July-August.
As part of the program, a memorandum was submitted to the acting principal of Bhurungamari Government College, Azizur Rahman Sarkar, in which Chhatra Dal leaders presented their demands.
Bhurungamari Upazila Chhatra Dal member secretary Md. Maidul Hossain, Bhurungamari Government College branch convener Md. Rokuzzaman Rony and other Chhatra Dal leaders and activists of the upazila and college branches were present in this program. After the program, the leaders and activists took out a rally, which ended at the college premises. The organizers said that the entire program was completed peacefully.
