A motorcycle rider named Nurul Islam Bhuiyan (48) was killed after being hit by a reckless mini truck carrying sand at Bagadi Chowrasta area of Chandpur Sadar. The accident occurred on the slope of a bridge in the area at 11 am today, Friday (January 31).
The deceased motorcyclist, Nurul Islam Bhuiyan, hails from the village of Sholadana in Faridganj Upazila of Chandpur.

Chandpur Sadar Model Police Station OC Bahar Mia said that Nurul lost his life when he was hit by a speeding mini truck while returning from his home to Chandpur town. Police have seized the mini truck from the scene. However, the driver fled.
Parvez Mosharraf of Adsha village said that numerous accidents are happening on the Chandpur-Faridganj road every day due to reckless speeding vehicles. Moreover, various parts of this road are dilapidated. As a result, accidents are happening when people lose speed while crossing the designated lane and moving to the other side. He requested the concerned authorities to take action on this issue.
Azgar Bhuiyan, cousin of the deceased Nurul Islam Bhuiyan, said that Nurul Islam Bhuiyan, who returned from the Middle East a few years ago, used to run a fish farm in his village home. In addition to his wife, he has two children. Nurul was the youngest of the siblings.
