A press conference was held at the Ranishankail Upazila and Municipal BNP office of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party in Thakurgaon on Tuesday (February 4) afternoon to protest the false case against two Jubo Dal leaders.
In a written statement at the press conference, Sultan Ali, convener of the victim union Jubo Dal, said that on 03-10-24, a person named Rubel Sheikh of Sakhipur upazila of Narail district filed a case accusing 103 people at Kaliakair police station of Gazipur district in connection with the Awami League political fight.
Whose case is no. 2. In the mentioned case, I and my cousin Haider Ali, ward vice-president of Jubo Dal, were made accused no. 76 and 77. He also said, "After August 5, we two brothers have been doing business and agriculture in our area. We have been involved in BNP politics for a long time and have been actively participating in various movements and programs of the party."
We know nothing about this incident and we don't know the plaintiff either. This is completely baseless and falsely accused by someone or something. We strongly condemn it.
For this reason, we are being subjected to political, social and family-related humiliation and mental distress. We strongly urge you to conduct proper screening and publicity through various print and electronic media through the press conference.
