In his words, 'The cultural tradition of Thakurgaon is very old. This theatre association was established on the occasion of the coronation of King Edward VIII. That is why theatre practice began in Thakurgaon from that time.
It would be an injustice to me if I did not mention the name of one person, she was also of the second generation - Fanidi Bhushan Palit. She was an extraordinary creative person, in the field of drama and culture. I have been involved in drama in Thakurgaon since my student days, I got my start in this Fani Palit.
When asked which of the three subjects he likes the most - dramatist, teacher, politician - Fakhrul said, "Undoubtedly, the cultural world is the most enjoyable. Especially in the overall situation and political context of Bangladesh, our time was very wonderful, where you can find satisfaction."
Mirza Fakhrul is also a reciting artist. He did not disappoint the audience present at the Oi Etc. event held in Thakurgaon. He recited a few lines from Rabindranath Tagore's poem 'Dushmoya' at the event.
