Ending long speculations, the BNP Central Committee has announced the five-member convening committee of Chittagong South District BNP today, Sunday, February 25, at noon.
The partial convening committee of Chittagong South District BNP was announced through a letter signed by BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.
According to the announced committee list, the Chittagong South District BNP leader, former chairman of Patiya Upazila Parishad, senior BNP leader Janneta Alhaj Muhammad Idris Mia-Convenor (Patiya), Janneta Muhammad Ali Abbas (Karnaphuli)-Senior Joint Convener, Janneta Muhammad Liaquat Ali (Bashankhali)-Joint Convener, young politician Md. Miskatul Islam Chowdhury Pappa (Bashankhali)-Joint Convener and prominent politician Janneta Lion Muhammad Helal Uddin (Anowara)-Member Secretary, making a five-member (partial) convening committee of Chittagong South District BNP.
Meanwhile, this afternoon, after the committee was announced on social media, there was a joyous celebration in various upazilas of Chittagong South District, including Patiya, Anwara, Boalkhali, Chandanaish, Bashankhali, Satkania, Lohagara, Karnaphuli, Patiya Municipality, all upazila municipality unions and even neighborhoods in Chittagong South District, welcoming the new convening committee and distributing sweets.
