The 'Dhaka International Marathon-2025' is being held in the 300 feet area of the capital today, Saturday, under the overall supervision of the Bangladesh Army. The event is the largest marathon ever organized in Bangladesh. Around 10,000 runners will participate.
In addition, several marathoners from 10 countries will be representing the marathon. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced this information in a press release.
ISPR said the competition will be held in five different categories, including marathon (42.2 km), half marathon (21.1 km), 10 km general, 10 km for first-time participants, and 10 km veteran categories.
Special security arrangements, healthcare support, and smooth traffic management have been ensured for this grand event so that both competitors and spectators can enjoy a safe and enjoyable environment.
