The Chief Advisor's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam said, "When our election will be held will depend on the July Charter. Because in the meantime, Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus has said that the election may be held by December. In that case, we may be able to implement some recommendations. And the political party that comes to power later will implement them."
The Press Secretary told reporters in front of the Foreign Service Academy in the capital on Saturday. A dialogue with political parties will be held at the Foreign Service Academy from 3 pm with Chief Advisor and Head of the National Consensus Commission Dr. Muhammad Yunus.
Stating that the National Consensus Commission will have a term of six months, the Press Secretary said, "The report of the six reform commissions will be thoroughly discussed with the political parties. We hope that all political parties will sign the decision that the political parties reach through the national consensus. That will be the July Charter."
The Press Secretary believes that many of the recommendations of the Reform Commission cannot be implemented without discussions with political parties. He said that the commission will discuss with political parties in cases where consensus is needed.
