During the semi-final of the 53rd National School, Madrasa and Technical Education Winter Sports Competition, cricket. On February 2, at the Suti VM Model Pilot Government High School ground in Gopalpur, Tangail. The venue-supported students alleged that the teacher was assaulted, the players were beaten and irregularities were committed. The students of Suti Hossain Shaheed Suhrawardy High School have submitted a memorandum to the human chain and the Upazila Nirbahi Officer demanding a fair trial for this incident.
An estimated 1,000 students participated in the human chain held at the Gopalpur Upazila Parishad premises on Wednesday (February 5) at 12 noon.
Later, in the presence of Gopalpur Upazila BNP President Khandaker Jahangir Alam Rubel, Municipal BNP General Secretary Md. Chanmia, Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Nazmul Hasan, and Thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) Golam Muktar Ashraf Uddin, UNO Md. Tuhin Hossain accepted the memorandum and assured that he would take immediate action in this regard and asked the students to return to their classrooms.
