Sheikh Abdul Quader-Jahanara Begum Foundation felicitated meritorious students from various educational institutions in Nalchit, Jhalakathi.
On Wednesday (February 13) morning, the Foundation Chairman and former Baksu AGS Sheikh Neyamul Karim and other guests presented flowers, crests and certificates to the meritorious students of the boys and girls branches of Nalchiti Merchants Secondary School, Nalchiti Girls Secondary School and Anurag Dakhil Madrasa. At this time, the awards were distributed among the first, second and third place students of each branch from class VI to X.
The chief guest of the event was Nalchiti Upazila Executive Officer Md. Nazrul Islam. The chief guest was Sheikh Neyamul Karim, Chairman of the Foundation, while the special guest was Islami Bank Vice President SM Rezaul Karim, and the prosecutor of the International Crimes Tribunal, Barrister SM Mainul Karim. Also present were teachers Kamaluddin Talukder, Sajal Chakraborty, Maulana Solaiman Hossain, Abul Kalam Azad, Zakir Hossain, Shahnaz Begum, Mahfuza Liza and other teachers.
The program was moderated by Dhaka University meritorious student SA Masud and presided over by Khairul Basar Rana, acting headmaster of Nalchiti Merchants Secondary School.
Tahmid Hasan, a seventh-grade student, spoke on behalf of the students at the event. During the event, the guests gave various important directional speeches to the students and urged the students to focus on their studies and be human beings.
