With the slogan "Come and change the country, change the world", a 3-day youth fair has started at the Kaptai Karnaphuli Government College ground in Rangamati under the organization of the Kaptai Upazila administration from Monday (February 10). 30 stalls of various events have been set up in the fair as part of the various events of the youth festival. Various handicrafts, toys, Nagardola, various types of food, etc., were seen in the stalls.
Meanwhile, Kaptai Upazila Executive Officer Ruhul Amin presided over the inaugural ceremony at the open stage at Karnaphuli College grounds at 3:30 pm today.
The event was moderated by Upazila Acting Education Officer Ashish Kumar Acharya and was addressed by Kaptai Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Swarup Muhuri, Kaptai Upazila Animal Resources Officer Agriculturist Enamul Haque Hazari, Kaptai Police Station OC Md Masud, Rangamati District BNP Vice President Dr. Rahmat Ullah, Joint Secretary and former Chairman of Kaptai Upazila Parishad Dildar Hossain, Upazila Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Harunar Rashid, Chandraghona Christian Hospital Director Dr. Prabir Khiang, Karnaphuli Government College Principal AHM Belal Chowdhury, former Women Vice Chairman of Kaptai Upazila Parishad Nur Nahar Begum, Kaptai Upazila Youth Party Member Secretary Ibrahim Habib Milu, Kaptai Upazila Student Party Member Secretary Md Ibrahim, Kaptai BSPI student Imtiaz Afsar Chowdhury, who was injured in the anti-discrimination student movement.
Earlier today, at 3 pm, a colorful rally started from Kaptai Upazila headquarters and ended at Karnaphuli Government College grounds.
From 5 pm to 8 pm, the artists of Kaptai Upazila Shilpakala Academy mesmerized the hundreds of visitors who came to the fair with their solo and ensemble singing and dancing performances.
