Local farmers came to Himadri Cold Storage located in Gobindaganj, Gaibandha. They were disappointed when they did not receive a booking slip for storing potatoes there. Recently, the farmers who were victims of this incident became angry. At one point, they blocked the highway.
The farmers were upset when they were told that the cards had run out on February 18. The farmers were angry because they did not receive booking slips to store potatoes in the cold storage. They blocked the highway in front of Himadri Closed Storage Limited from 9 am to 9:30 am and from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm, demanding booking slips for storing potatoes.
Upon receiving this news, Gobindaganj Upazila Executive Officer Syeda Yasmin Sultana, Upazila Assistant Commissioner Bhumi Asaduzzaman, Upazila Agriculture Officer Mehedi Hasan, Gobindaganj Police Station OC Bulbul Islam, Highway OC Mozaffar Hossain, and OC Investigation Iqbal Pasha went to the spot and assured that the matter would be resolved, and the farmers lifted the blockade.
