Shahiduzzaman Shimul, Satkhira: The police have arrested Satkhira City College Principal Dr. Shihabuddin.
He was arrested from Kakbasiya Bazar in Ashashuni Upazila of the district around 9:30 am on Wednesday (February 5).
The arrested Dr. Shihabuddin (54) is the son of the late Neyamuddin Gazi of Kakabsia village in Anulia union of the upazila.
He is the principal of Satkhira City College. He was temporarily suspended after Sheikh Hasina fled on August 5.
Noman Hossain, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Asashuni Police Station, said that he was shown arrested in a murder case in Pratapnagar. He also said that Shihabuddin is the organizing secretary of Asashuni Upazila Awami League and a member of the district A'League.###
