A human chain program was organized by the aggrieved locals in front of the Deputy Commissioner's office on Wednesday morning to protest the killing of Abdul Jobbar, a member of Boali Union in Gaibandha Sadar Upazila, and to demand the immediate arrest and hanging of the accused. Earlier, a protest procession took out and circled the road of the Deputy Commissioner's office. At the end, a memorandum was submitted to the Deputy Commissioner.
Later, during the human chain program, Boali Union Chairman Shahidul Islam Sabu, UP members Kabil Uddin, Nur Alam, Milan Mia, Jonaki Begum and others spoke. The speakers said that notorious terrorist Wares Ali, his wife Jabeda Begum and Manju Begum killed union member Abdul Jobbar in a barbaric attack. They demanded the immediate arrest and hanging of all the accused involved in this murder.
