(Joypurhat) District Representative:
Khetlal Upazila Executive Officer Asif Al-Zinat, in coordination with the BRTA authorities of Joypurhat, has decided to provide driving licenses to motorcycle drivers at affordable prices from the upazila headquarters. He has organized this campaign on his own initiative on February 9, 10 and 11 from 10 am in the upazila premises.
To make the campaign a success, a preparatory meeting was held on Thursday, February 6 at 10:30 am in the Upazila Parishad meeting room, moderated by the council's CA SM Shawkat, with officials, employees, public representatives, imams, journalists, party leaders and activists, teachers and interested parties from all departments.
Present at the event were Khetlal Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Jinnat Ara, OC Ariful Islam, Upazila Agriculture Officer Zahidur Rahman, Upazila Engineer Rashed Imran, Khetlal BM College Principal Ali Hasan Mukta, Upazila BNP General Secretary Abu Bakkar Siddique, Municipal BNP leader Tayyab Rahman, Upazila Jamaat leaders, Khetlal Press Club President ANM Ruhul Amin, General Secretary Hasan Ali, among others.
Citing the Joypuhat BRTA authorities, Upazila Executive Officer Asif Al Jinat said that the minimum age of a person interested in receiving the license service is 18 years and he must have passed at least 8th grade. To get the license, he must submit a photocopy of his national identity card, 2 copies of his colored passport, a photocopy of his electricity bill, and a learner fee of five hundred and twenty-five taka.
