The 36th annual meeting and 15th triennial council meeting of Bangladesh Scouts Patuakhali District Rover was held on February 4 (Tuesday) at the Patuakhali District Commissioner's Conference Room.
Under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner Yadav Sarkar, Rover Scout Leaders and Group Presidents of all government and private colleges, madrasas and universities of the district, along with more than fifty teachers were present as councilors. The Deputy Commissioner was elected as the ex-officio president of the council session, Dr. Mohammad Zillur Rahman, Student Affairs Advisor and Professor of Language and Communication Department of Patuakhali Science and Technology University (PUB), was elected as the senior vice president, and Dr. Md. Aminul Islam Tito, Deputy Registrar Scouter of Patuakhali Science and Technology University, was elected as the secretary.
Expressing his feelings on being elected as the editor, Dr. Md. Aminul Islam said, "I am very happy and grateful to have received this responsibility. Scouting has always been close to my heart, and as the editor, I will do my best to develop the organization."
Senior Vice President Professor Dr. Mohammad Zillur Rahman said, "I am grateful to all the members who trusted me and elected me to this position. I will try my best to make the Scout movement more dynamic in the future. With everyone's cooperation, we can spread the values of Scouting together."
In the first phase, a 15-member committee has been formed. In the second phase, 14 more members, including assistant commissioners and other positions, will be elected in the first meeting of the executive committee.
