Sadarpur Police arrested a drug lord with 250 pieces of Yaba from Char Balashiya in Dheukhali Union of Sadarpur Upazila of Faridpur late on Sunday night.
It is known that his name is Md. Farhad Bepari (35). He is a resident of Dheukhali Union, son of the deceased Islam Bepari. Based on a secret tip-off, the police searched his house and found 250 pieces of Yaba tablets kept in 3 packets inside the left pocket of his jacket. Later, he was arrested and taken into custody at Sadarpur Police Station.
Locals said that he had been running the drug business in the area for a long time, including drug use. He is a drug lord. He has destroyed the youth society. Everyone was afraid to speak against him. His arrest has brought relief to the area.
Confirming the truth of the incident, Sadarpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md. A. Motaleb Hossain said that legal action is underway in his case. The accused is currently in police custody.
