A man named Madhu Mia (40) was hacked to death in Kamalganj, Moulvibazar over a previous dispute. The incident took place around 10 pm on Monday in front of the office of Kamarchhara Tea Garden in Alinagar Union of the upazila. The deceased Madhu Mia is the son of Durud Mia of Kamarchhara Tea Garden in Alinagar Union. It is known that a group of people killed Madhu Mia with a sharp weapon in front of the office of Kamarchhara Tea Garden in Alinagar Union over a previous dispute. After receiving information about the incident, the police recovered the injured body of the deceased around 1 am on Monday.
Police have detained 6-7 people for questioning in this incident.
Kamalganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge Syed Iftekhar Hossain confirmed the incident and said, "A case has been registered in this incident. We have arrested 6 people. We believe that Madhu Mia was killed due to a previous dispute."
