Saghata, Fulchhari Correspondent: The Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) family card registration complex allocated in the name of Fancy Begum of Ward No. 1 of Bharatkhali Union has not received the smart card. Now she is worried about whether she will get oil and sugar or not. How will the family survive the upcoming Ramadan is the biggest concern now. Like Fancy, about 2427 poor people of the upazila are in trouble because they have not received the smart card due to the family card registration complex. While the registration complex is less in other unions, the number is more in Bharatkhali Union of the upazila. Meanwhile, dissatisfaction has arisen in 10 unions of the upazila due to the family card registration complex. When the victims search the TCB dashboard with their NID or mobile number, it shows that the registration has not been done and it is not eligible for correction. But they do not know why this is happening. The victims were informed that even though they provided correct information during the online registration of their cards, they alleged that it could also be due to the negligence of the union digital officers. But the union parishads are not willing to take responsibility for the card registration complications. Bharatkhali Union Digital Officer Zahidul Islam said that the registration has been updated online as per the information provided by the beneficiaries during the TCB online registration. But those who did not provide the necessary documents, NID card, nominee information, mobile number or TCB card did not meet the online registration policy during the registration did not receive their smart cards, but now they have the option to update them by providing new information. Bharatkhali Union Parishad Chairman Faruk Hossain Mondal said that among those whose smart cards did not receive their registration complications, the information that can be corrected has been given for correction, and efforts are being made to add new ones that cannot be corrected. In this regard, Upazila Executive Officer Md. Ishaq Ali said that about 21,000 TCB cards have been allocated in the upazila. Meanwhile, 2427 people have not received their smart cards due to registration complications. The reason for not receiving the smart cards is due to errors in the beneficiary's information, NID number or mobile number. However, there is no reason to worry for those who have not received their registration card due to registration complications, if they submit their information again, new beneficiaries will be taken in the empty space. And if the union digital officers are found to have been negligent, they have assured to take action after investigating the complaint. It is worth noting that the Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) has started distributing products through Smart Family Cards from January 2025. Through this card, a beneficiary can purchase edible oil, lentils and sugar at affordable prices. Md. Mostafizur Rahman. Saghata, Fulchhari Correspondent, Gaibandha.
