On Wednesday (January 5) at around 12 noon, the upazila administration handed over corrugated iron sheets and blankets to the affected family. It is worth mentioning that on December 31 at around 6 am, the house of Ayub Ali Howlader of that village caught fire due to an electrical short circuit and everything was burnt to ashes. The family has suffered a loss of at least 15 (fifteen) lakh taka, including the house, cash, gold ornaments and other belongings. Currently, the family is living a subhuman life.

The notification said that on Tuesday (February 4), the Roads and Highways Department of Naogaon district conducted a sudden eviction drive without any prior announcement or notice. The strike was called out of anger. The notification further said, 'We have been operating our business in accordance with the rules set by the government for a long time. Such behavior cannot be accepted even after paying regular revenue. Such an eviction drive has never been conducted in the past. This has created extreme anxiety and dissatisfaction among the petrol pump owners.' The sudden shutdown of the pumps has caused the most problems for vehicle drivers and farmers. Long queues of vehicles were seen on various roads in the district. Truck driver Mohammad Selim said, I came to the pump in the morning and found it closed. I am stuck because there is no oil in my car. Meanwhile, the farmers said that diesel is needed to irrigate the land, but they are in trouble because the pump is closed. The arrested Dr. Shihabuddin (54) is the son of the late Neyamuddin Gazi of Kakabsiya village in Anulia Union of the upazila. He is the principal of Satkhira City College.
