The poverty rate in Bangladesh has increased from 18.7 percent to 19.2 percent. While the poverty rate in cities is 16.5 percent, it is more than 20 percent in villages. This information has emerged in the report titled 'Poverty Map of Bangladesh, 2022' of the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS).
