Six more people have been arrested and sent to jail after being involved in the theft of mineral sand and stone by cutting the banks of the Jadukata River in Tahirpur, Sunamganj, Sylhet. The convicts were sent to Sunamganj District Jail in the custody of Tahirpur Police Station on Friday. Responsible sources in the Sunamganj District Administration confirmed this information on Saturday. The six people sent to Sunamganj District Jail are - Amir Hossain of Alipur village in Bishwambharpur upazila of the district, Alamgir Hossain of Anantapur village in the same upazila, Mofazzal of Shahpur village, Raihan, Mujahid Mia, and Rejuan Ahmed of the same village. The Palestinian resistance group Hamas said it had handed over the remains of Israeli prisoner Shiri Bivas to the Red Cross.
