Kapasia Police have arrested Dr. Soumik Ahmed Sourav (32), a member of the banned Chhatra League central committee and former vice-president of Dhaka Medical College Hospital, in a Devil Hunt operation. He was arrested from the Medical Mor area of Targaon Union of the upazila at 4 pm on Friday (February 14). He is the son of Mosharraf Hossain, the headmaster of Nawar Bari High School in Uor Kham.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of the police station Md. Kamal Hossain said that Dr. Soumik Ahmed Sourav has been arrested based on secret information. There is a case against him at Shahbagh Police Station in Dhaka. Legal action is under process in this regard. This operation will continue.
