Patuakhali University of Science and Technology (PUST) has organized the Ganaroom Premier League under the initiative of Azadi Mancha. The final and prize distribution of the Premier League was held at the PUST central playground on Friday (February 14) at 12 noon.
8 teams from 4 different rooms participated in the Premier League. Rajdarbar Royals were the champions of the Premier League and Graviton Warriors were the runners-up.
The award distribution ceremony hosted by Sulaiman Banna was attended by the chief guest, Registrar of PUBRI, Professor Dr. Iktiar Uddin, Director of the Department of Physical Education, Professor Dr. Abu Yusuf, Provost of Sher-e Bangla Hall-2, Professor Dr. Nizam Uddin, and convener of Azadi Mancha, Md. Jannatin Naeem Jibon, and Director of the Organizing Committee, Muhtasim Araf.
Provost of Sher-e-Bangla Hall-2, Professor Dr. Nizam Uddin said that the cordial relationship created through sports will be maintained throughout university life.
Professor Dr. Abu Yusuf, Director of the Department of Physical Education, said, "Sports are one of the means of entertainment. The cricketers of the future will emerge from among you."
In his speech as the chief guest, Registrar Professor Dr. Iktiar Uddin said, "Sports are one of the means of character building. Sports keep students away from bad culture. That is why it is said that sports are necessary for a healthy body, a healthy mind and a healthy heart."
