Sadarpur (Faridpur) Representative:
All preparations for the Urs Sharif at the Bishwa Zaker Manzil Pak Darbar Sharif have been completed. The 4-day Urs Sharif is going to begin at the Darbar Sharif from Saturday, February 15.
Preparations for the 4-day Urs of Bishwauli Shah Sufi Hazrat Maulana Muhammad Hasmatullah Naqshbandi Mojaddidi (Qur'an) Saheb have already been completed at Atrashi Bishwa Zaker Manzil in Sadarpur Upazila of Faridpur.
The main Urs ceremonies will begin after the flag hoisting ceremony after Fajr prayer on Thursday and the visit to the shrine of Khaja Baba Faridupuri on Friday (February 14) after Jumma prayers, said M.M. Shahidul Islam Shahin, the coordinator of the Darbar Sharif.
He further said that Jakeran Ashekans and devotees from different parts of the country have already started coming to Darbar Sharif. Separate arrangements have been made for followers of other religions. Samiana, pandal, lighting, food court, sewage system, separate accommodation for women, emergency medical services, and a field for car parking have been prepared for the accommodation of Jakerans of Darbar Sharif.
Kamrul of the IT department said that more than 200 CCTV cameras and archway towers have been installed in the Darbar Sharif area. Extensive security arrangements have already been made. In addition to Darbar Sharif's own volunteers, additional police personnel will be deployed from Sadarpur police station and Faridpur district.
Every day, the Zakerans will be engaged in the obligatory and optional worship of the Tariqa, the recitation of the Quran, and the remembrance of the Zikr. The Urs Sharif will end with the final prayer after the Fajr prayer on Tuesday.
It is worth mentioning that in 1354, Khaja Baba Faridpuri (Kush Cheh: A.S.) Saheb started the first Urs Sharif, and since then, the annual Urs Sharif has been celebrated every year at the Bishwa Zaker Manzil Darbar Sharif. The authorities of the Darbar Sharif estimate that 30/40 lakh people will gather for the 4-day Urs Sharif this year. Next Tuesday, after Fajr, the holy Urs Sharif will end with the final prayer after the visit to the shrine of Bishwa Wali Khaja Baba Faridpuri (Kush Cheh: A.S.) Saheb.
