The spring festival and pitha festival were organized by the upazila administration in Barura, Comilla.
On Thursday, February 13 at 3 pm, the meeting was presided over by Upazila Executive Officer Nu-Mong Marma Mong at the Barura Upazila Parishad premises. Upazila Ladies Club President and Upazila Executive Officer's wife Mashi Singh Marma, Barura Thana Officer-in-Charge Kazi Nazmul Haque, Barura Upazila Agriculture Officer Md. Zahidul Islam, Upazila Livestock Officer Dr. Nasrin Sultana Tonu, Upazila Health Complex Medical Officer Dr. Nuren Taskin Tuli, Upazila Youth Development Officer Md. Borhan Uddin Bhuiyan, Upazila Secondary Education Officer Ratan Kumar Saha, and officials from various departments, journalists and civil society leaders were present.
A colorful rally and procession was held at 3 pm today to mark the Spring Festival and Pitha Festival 2025.
On the occasion of the celebration of the spring festival and the pitha festival, various cultural organizations, Jhalom High School and College, Kadba Talagram Tarini Charan Laha High School, and women entrepreneurs display and sell various types of traditional winter pitha at the pitha stalls in the upazila parishad premises.
