Leaders and activists of Kapasia Upazila BNP and its affiliated organizations took out a joyous procession to express their gratitude and thanks to BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman for the approval of the partial convening committee of Gazipur District BNP. On Tuesday (February 11) at 4:30 pm, a large joyous procession started from Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Chattar adjacent to Fakir Majnu Shah Bridge and circled the main roads of the city and ended at Safaisree More area.
Under the chairmanship of Upazila BNP General Secretary and former Upazila Parishad Chairman, freedom fighter Khandaker Azizur Rahman Pera, Upazila BNP Joint General Secretary Afzal Hossain, Upazila BNP Joint General Secretary FM Kamal Hossain, Kapasia Union BNP President Selim Hossain Arju, former District Chhatra Dal President Imran Hossain Shishir and many others spoke. Thousands of leaders and activists were present at the time. The speakers said that the party leaders and activists have been victims of attacks and cases in the past 16 years. Shah Riazul Hannan Riaz has kept the leaders and activists motivated by taking charge of the district BNP at a critical juncture in the country's politics, including the release of imprisoned leaders and activists and the responsibilities of their families.
