The biannual conference of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Upazila branch was held in a festive atmosphere in Sarishabari, Jamalpur. The conference turned into a sea of people with the spontaneous participation of a large number of leaders and activists.
The conference, held at the upazila's traditional Railway Maidan on Wednesday (February 12), began with recitation of the Quran and prayers. The conference was then officially inaugurated by hoisting the national flag, releasing pigeons and balloons.
The conference was presided over by Upazila BNP convener Alhaj Azim Uddin Ahmed.
The conference was inaugurated by Jamalpur District BNP President Faridul Kabir Talukder Shamim.
Habib Un Nabi Khan Sohel, Joint Secretary General of the BNP National Executive Committee, was present as the chief guest.
The main speaker was Shariful Alam, Organizing Secretary of the BNP National Executive Committee.
