Another 343 people have been arrested in the joint forces' special operation 'Operation Devil Hunt'. They were arrested in the last 24 hours (Sunday afternoon to Monday afternoon). During this time, various types of weapons including a foreign pistol, two magazines and 11 bullets were recovered.
At the same time, 1,178 people with arrest warrants in various cases outside of special operations have been arrested.
This information was given by the police headquarters on Monday afternoon. Earlier this afternoon, Home Affairs Advisor Lieutenant General (Retd.) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury attended a meeting on overall law and order at the Rajshahi District Commissioner's office. He said that 'Operation Devil Hunt' will continue until the devil is free.
The Home Affairs Advisor said, 'This operation will continue until the devil is freed from here.'
On Friday night, 15-16 students were beaten up at the house of former Liberation War Minister Mozammel Haque in Gazipur. Leaders of the anti-discrimination student movement say that the students went there to prevent a robbery after receiving news of it. They were then beaten up.

The decision to conduct the operation was made at a meeting of the law enforcement agencies at the Ministry of Home Affairs in response to the terrorist attack on students and the public in Gazipur.
Police headquarters said on Sunday that 1,308 people have been arrested since the start of 'Operation Devil Hunt' last Saturday night until yesterday afternoon. Of these, 274 were arrested from the capital and 65 from Gazipur city and district. The rest were arrested from various districts.
