Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is known to fall ill from time to time, especially when he announces his illness when summoned to court in a corruption case, delaying the trial process.
The Times of Israel reported that Netanyahu was summoned to a Tel Aviv court after returning from a recent meeting with Trump in Washington. The criminal trial on corruption charges has resumed.
However, Netanyahu, appearing at the hearing, said he was facing medical challenges, requiring him to take high doses of antibiotics.
Netanyahu did not appear in court to testify last week because he is in the United States. Two of the three hearings scheduled for the previous week were canceled.
Netanyahu underwent surgery to remove his prostate in December 2024. He told the court that he is currently being given 1,500 milligrams of antibiotics a day, which is increasing the challenge. He needs regular breaks on days he gives testimony.
