Two dealers, including marijuana, have been arrested for selling drugs in Chatkhil, Noakhali.
Chatkhil Police Station conducted a special operation and arrested two drug dealers in front of the Upazila Parishad of the municipal town on Sunday night, February 9. During this, one kilogram of marijuana, a CNG used for drug sales, and some cash from drug sales were recovered from them.
The arrested drug dealers are Babul Hossain (50), son of Shafi Ullah of the Sundarpur Maulvi Bari of the municipality, and Shahidul Islam (39), son of Mokhlesur Rahman of Nadnar in Sonaimuri Upazila.
Chatkhil Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Firoz Uddin Chowdhury said that a case has been filed against the arrested persons under the Narcotics Control Act. The arrested persons were sent to court on Monday afternoon.
