Deepak Kumar Palit, Trustee of the Hindu Religious Welfare Trust under the Ministry of Religion of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, inspected the religious and moral education programs of the Sri Sri Durga Temple and Geeta School in Dakshin Nalapara under Sadarghat Police Station in Chittagong Metropolitan City on Friday (February 7, 2025). Present during the visit were Bangladesh Geeta Shiksha Parishad (BAGISHIP) Central Committee Convener Professor Shipul Kumar Dey, General Secretary of South Nalapara Sanatani Samyani Parishad Film Actor Pankaj Vaidya Sujan, President of South Nalapara Sri Sri Shyama Puja Udjavan Parishad Pradeep Kumar Roy, General Secretaries of South Nalapara Temple Management Council Ranjan Saha and Alkesh Pal, Executive Member Rajib Biswas Raja, General Secretary of South Nalapara Sri Sri Shyama Puja Udjavan Parishad Jewel Majumder, General Secretary of South Nalapara Sarbajanin Durgotsav Udjavan Parishad Shyamal Pal, Executive Member of South Nalapara Temple Management Council Mohan Pal, Social Welfare Secretary Gautam Dey, Office Secretary Liton Dutta, Cultural Secretary (Temple Committee) Naren Saha, Aparna Roy Chowdhury, Runa Barua, Alo Barua, Shimul, and others.
During the visit, Trustee Deepak Kumar Palit said, "Shrimad Bhagavad Gita is the supreme word of the Supreme Lord. The knowledge of the Gita awakens the sense of humanity in people. It guides people on the righteous path. As a result, the Gita is not a religious book for any particular religion. The Gita is universal. The teachings of the Gita are equality, non-attachment, renunciation of the fruits of karma, selfless action, transcendence of qualities, service to one's own religion and surrender to God. Therefore, the Gita is an ideal philosophy for leading our lives."
While delivering his speech, Professor Shipul Kumar Dey said that the knowledge of the Gita frees us from demonicism and elevates humanity to divinity. He called upon the new generation of students to be educated in religious and moral education along with formal education. Later, Trustee Deepak Kumar Palit inspected the development activities of the temple and assured the chief guest of financial assistance in the development and renovation sector of the temple on behalf of the Hindu Religious Welfare Trust under the Ministry of Religion of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.
