Two people have been arrested in a devil hunt operation in Ranishankail. The arrested persons are the leader of the banned organization Bangladesh Chhatra League, Swadhin Basak (30), son of Bishnu Basak of the municipal town, while the other is Jubo League leader Lutfar Rahman, son of Islam Uddin of Doshiya village of Bachor union.
Confirming the matter, Ranishankail Police Station said, "Two leaders and activists of different Awami League organizations were arrested under the Explosive Substances Act during a drive-by shooting on Saturday (February 8) night."
Ranishankail Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohd. Arshedul Haque said they were arrested under the Explosive Substances Act and handed over to the court.
