These meetings will be held in districts and metropolitan cities across the country from February 11 until the start of Ramadan under the initiative of BNP, with various public demands including keeping the price increase of essential commodities at a tolerable level, improving the deteriorating law and order situation, announcing an electoral roadmap for a speedy transition to a democratic path, and confronting the various conspiracies of fascism in the state.
BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi gave this information at an emergency press conference held at the party's central office in Nayapaltan in the capital on Saturday (February 8) afternoon.
Rizvi said that former Gazipur mayor Jahangir is still conspiring against the country. It is the government's failure to bring him under the law.
He also said, "BNP wants to see the government succeed, but they themselves have to think whether this government wants to succeed. Former police chief Benazir Ahmed is still conspiring with police members who are on the side of the fascists, which is not good for the nation."
At this time, he also demanded that fascist collaborators at various levels of the administration be identified.
