National Congress Bangladesh - NCB Chairman Kazi Chabbir, a former student leader, has called for the immediate completion of necessary reforms and holding the national parliament elections. He said the government should give importance to the people's demands. A fair and impartial election is the long-awaited expectation of the people of the country. Therefore, it would not be right for the interim government to delay the elections. The NCB Chairman also called on the government to bring the law and order situation under control by keeping the prices of commodities at normal levels during the month of Ramadan. He said these things in his speech as the president at the Dhaka divisional workers' meeting of the National Congress Bangladesh NCB.
At the NCB's Dhaka divisional workers' meeting held at the National Press Club on Saturday, based on the opinions of the leaders and activists of the concerned units, Md. Abul Bashar was appointed as the convener and poet Asim Bhattacharya as the member secretary of the 21-member Dhaka Metropolitan South, Md. Al-Amin as the convener and Md. Masum as the member secretary of the 13-member Dhaka Metropolitan North, poet Firoz Ahmed Swapan as the convener and poet Sanjida Rasul as the member secretary of the 11-member Gazipur Metropolitan, Alhaj Akkas Mia as the convener and Kazi Mithun as the member secretary of the 15-member Dhaka District, poet Md. Abu Said as the convener and Abdur Rahman as the member secretary of the 11-member Gazipur District, Swarna Khandaker Shelly as the convener and Amirul Islam Rubel as the member secretary of the 15-member Manikganj District, Abdul Mannan as the convener and Satish Chandra Biswas as the member secretary of the 11-member Narsingdi District, The formation of all district and metropolitan committees of Dhaka Division was completed by announcing the Narayanganj District Convener Committee with Advocate Md. Masum Billah as the Convener and Md. Monir Hossain as the Member Secretary, the Faridpur District Convener Committee with Kabi Farida Sultana as the Convener and Khandaker Muyid Haider Anik as the Member Secretary, and the Tangail District Convener Committee with Shahidur Rahman Siddiqui as the Convener and SM Saiful Islam as the Member Secretary.
