Two foreign pistols and two domestic weapons have been recovered from abandoned locations in a successful operation by the joint forces in Gangachara Upazila of Rangpur. The joint forces conducted the operation in the Maulvi Bazar area from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm on Thursday (6 February 2024).
According to sources from the joint forces, the operation was carried out based on secret information. During the operation, the weapons were recovered from a specific location.
The joint force said that the recovered weapons have been handed over to Gangachara police station for legal proceedings. The joint force also expressed hope that this operation will further strengthen anti-terrorism operations.
Meanwhile, the locals have applauded the joint forces for such a successful operation and have urged the law enforcement agencies to continue such activities in the future.
